Damn it's cold!! And we have about 5 inches of new snow on the ground and the wind is blowing at 30 mph and it is about 12 degrees and going down to zero tonight and -7 tomorrow night. I'm staying warm in the house but I had to shovel my way out to the mailbox and it was cold even though I had four layers on. Screw the driveway...I'm hoping a big wind will blow off most of the snow. This is Thursday and they don't expect the temperature to get above freezing until Monday.
I made a big pot of ham and beans today so I'll have some of that for supper. Maybe make some cornbread, too.
I've been taking down all the Christmas stuff....three days now but I think I have it all. Just a couple of things left to do to get the house back to normal. I have to be ready for house-hunters now that Christmas is over.We had a nice and quiet Christmas and New Years. We went to see Jeanne and Paul & Sandy this past weekend and we will have some visitors come up on MLK day.
I hope the weather gets back to something closer to normal. I have some bird seed but I can't get out to the feeders and the suet cake will freeze solid if I put it out. Watson has given up on wanting to go out...he's no fool.
